Privacy

The short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no advertising trackers, and has no account system. Nothing you do here is sent to us, because there is no “us” to send it to.

What is stored, and where

Saved recipes, your shopping list, your meal plan, your rating of a recipe, which recipes you have already viewed, and your light or dark theme preference are stored in your own browser using localStorage. That data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted, not backed up and not readable by anyone but you.

The practical consequence is worth knowing: clearing your browser data will erase your saved recipes and shopping list, and they will not sync to another device or another browser. That is the trade for not having to create an account.

What is not collected

No cookies. No advertising or analytics trackers. No fingerprinting. No email address, no name, no account. No third-party embeds that could observe you — no social widgets, no comment platform, no font service phoning home.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the requests needed to deliver pages to you and may keep short-lived operational logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. That is infrastructure, not analytics, and we do not receive or query it.

External links

Some pages link to external sites — research publications, guidelines and the retailer listing for the book. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we have no control over them.

Children

This site is not directed at children and knowingly collects no information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this site ever adds analytics, a newsletter or any other data collection, this page will be updated to say so before that happens, not after.
